Hey all

Thinking about new wheel options for my '00 1.8T. Was originally heart-set on a set of 6 spoke Avus wheels, but I've heard they're heavy.

What about wheels from different generations? Would they work?

These? http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/pts/4602721351.html

Based on the pics it looks like they are 17 x 7.5, ET45. I'd guess they are 5x112 bolt pattern too. This would make them the same size as B5 S4 wheels! However without searching I would also guess that the inner bore is a different size than what the B5 uses (57.1mm).

Wheels off of a B7 should fit, they'll be 57.1 center bore and 5x112 lug pattern. I'm just not positive on the offset but I believe they should go on but you might want to search around a little more.

I saw those on a b5 before without spacers. they will work

The offset is the same as stock and they're only half an inch wider. Center bore and bolt pattern will be the same. You should have no fitment issues. The only thing I'd worry about is if Audi has changed the thickness of the wheel's mounting flanges you may need longer or shorter wheel bolts.

But for that price, getting a new set of wheel bolts is a minor inconvenience (if you even need them).

edit: Grape beat me. I haven't seen these particular wheels on a B5 but if they're around and the wheels are not constantly falling of because of too-short wheel bolts, you'll probably be fine.

I like the B7 split 5 spoke wheels.

I think they look kind of "race-y" without the center caps:

That first image is exactly what my car "target is". I'm still undecided about the wheels, but the sport suspension with the tint and chrome tip exhaust is it. And I too have a '00 B5. I'll post a build thread when I get started. Gotta pay for basic maintenance first.

For 18's

B6 S4 18" Avus wheels look good:

Also B6 A4 USP:

Or B7 S-line "RS6" wheels:

For 17's, the B6 Sport 5-spokes offer a nice updated look (but need some spacers to look "right"):

Walky, thanks for posting my car as an example.

As far as the weight, they are a bit heavy but then again, I like to keep my license instead of worrying about how much my car weighs with the b6 s4 wheels. But, to each their own.
