P3Cars Vent Integrated Digital Interface (http://www.ecodetuning.com/shop/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=2292) is the ultimate accessory to have for your C7 A6. Not only does it read boost and all data from the OBDII diagnostic port, there is a electrical provision to pull the boost signal direct from the Supercharger.

Many of our customers love their P3 VIDI, however they prefer to get the true boost reading at the supercharger, rather than from the diagnostic port.

This is where Eurocode has stepped up to fill the void given to us by Audi. We have developed a Supercharger Boost Tap that is both functional and aesthetically perfect.

For a limited time, we are going to toss in for FREE (yes, FREE) one of our Supercharger Boost Taps and a Analog Boost Sensor (a $64.95 value).

There are many options to choose from when ordering your P3Cars Vent Integrated Digital Interface (http://www.ecodetuning.com/shop/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=2292), you can choose your chassis (B8 or B8.5, whether or not you want it pre-installed in a OEM vent, and a display in all red or white/red )white numbers and a red bar graph)

Eurocode Supercharger Boost Tap

Grabbing a boost signal from the 3.0TFSI, whether it is for a boost gauge, Vent Integrated Digital Interface, data logging, or Hobbs switch activation has proven to be difficult. Our 3.0TFSI Supercharger Boost Tap easily installs in between the supercharger bypass valve and supercharger and provides a true signal that is a reflection of the pressure that the supercharger is making and engine vacuum when in bypass.

We manufacture our 3.0TFSI Supercharger Boost Tap in America with T-6061 aircraft grade aluminum. It is precision CNC cut on a HAAS Automation MINIMILL, anodized with MIL-SPEC Type III hard coat anodizing and laser engraved with our famous logo and part number.

Our 3.0TFSI Supercharger Boost Tap currently fits the following vehicles:

Audi S4 3.0TSFI
Audi S5 Coupe, Sportback and Cabriolet 3.0TSFI
Audi A6/A7/A8 3.0TSFI
Audi Q5/SQ5/Q7 3.0TSFI

Is there a way for us kids with the 4.0TT to get boost without going through the OBDII port?

The $389 version will pop into our existing vent, is this correct?

Yes, the $389.00 version does install into your existing vent. I'm pushing for us to make a 4.0TT boost tap for my S6 too.

The unit works perfectly fine reading the boost through the OBDII port

Is the boost displayed as a digital number or as a bar type meter like the lap timer boost meter? '14 S6

You can have both. A digital number in PSI or BAR and a bar graph. It also displays engine vacuum when not in boost.

How is the install without buying the whole vent?

What does the connection down below into the OBDII port look like, how difficult is the actual install and cabling routing?

It is not really visible. There is a plug (black) that fits into the OBDII port, and a flat cable that comes out of it from the side. The actual install and cable routing is pretty easy.

How is the install without buying the whole vent?

The install is not to bad at all. The majority of our customers do not purchase a vent.

Do you have install instructions? Is it just a slide in fit or do you have to remove the vent from the dash?

The entire vent gets removed from the dash, then while the vent is out of the car you remove two of the horizontal directional vanes, the VIDI display then goes into the vent.

There is a dimmer wire that you can attach to the vent (optional) that will dim/brighten the display concurrently with the dash lighting.

The display gets plugged into the control unit and the control unit gets plugged into the OBDII port. If you are using the analog boost sensor, then you connect a vacuum line to it and run it to a source on one of the intake manifolds.

Once everything is plugged in and buttoned up, then you configure the unit.

P3 Cars has install guides on their website. The C7 is being finalized and should be up soon.

I have it and fully recommend it. It's very cool. Shows boost requested in real-time, does 0-60, etc. All the fun stuff you could ever want [drool]

Install takes a couple hours if you're careful.

thanks, you should post a review thread since i couldnt find any. Or maybe i will. The instructions dont explain how to pull the vent off the car.
Where is the screw or clip you need to hit to remove it?
