I just purchased my first Audi. It is a 2012 Audi A8L CPO car. The car has the driver assist package, premium package, LED headlights, alcantara headliner, panorama sunroof, cold weather package, 16,xxx miles. Totally psyched about the car as I pick it up in the morning. Anything special that I should know about the car.
The one thing I discussed with the dealer was adding the maintenance package to the car. Is it worth doing or just do the maintenance on my own. I wasn't sure what the out of pocket costs are typically (I do own 2 Porsches so I know the maintenance is more!).

I had to post in my "garage pics" since I don't have enough posts to allow uploading of pics.

Congrats.

Regarding the maintenance plan I went ahead and did the prepaid Audi Care. I figured that I'm going to be getting all of the recommended service intervals done anyway so I might as well save a few bucks by prepaying them.

Congrats! I love the ash wood trim... It's not very common and definitely my favorite.

As for maintenance, it's pretty straight-forward on your car so I'd say do it yourself if you want. Get yourself an oil extractor and suck the oil out the dipstick tube. The filter is also up top so the car never has to be lifted. I'd also get the dipstick tool (http://www.amazon.com/Tool-connection-Gauge-dipstick-Laser/dp/B00FEOOM10/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1405132186&sr=8-2&keywords=T40178) so you don't have to rely on the oil level sensor.

Do DIY oil changes affect the CPO Warranty coverage?

No, unless of course you mess something up. But still save your receipts for the oil and filter.
