Unfortunately I live in California where front plates are required, and my front filler plate has the cut out for the plate frame. My dealer is willing to replace the filler plate, assuming that it's replaceable with the plate delete for the black optics. They can't seem to find the part, so does anyone have or know where I could source the part number? I found one on OEM Plus, but it's not the black optics plate delete.

What filler plate do you mean? Can you post a pic? I have had the S6 Black Optics grill completely apart so I may be able to help you understand if it is possible to do what you want to do

Thanks Dennis, it's this piece that goes in the middle of the grille, except I need the black optics version. My current one is drilled and has the cut out for a front plate.

Well, I didn't think that part came loose. I am going to have to go look more closely, because I want one too! I have the same problem as you. Those trim pieces come off too. If you look at a parts diagram on genuine audi parts they do no show those as being for sale separately, but hopefully they are and I can get one too.

OEM+ has the BO plate delete. That is where I got mine from.

OK I took it off and it says 4G0 807 287 under that mine says 4G0 807 287 A mit APS which I presume means "with Parking sensors" which mine has. I wonder if it is a generic part and gets painted like mirror caps? Doesn't look like paint tho. If it is, I will just fix mine and paint it. One other plate delete I saw was like 350 bucks. THey want crazy money for this plastic stuff.

I googled it and didn't come up with much. I will check with OEM plus as I need one too.

Yes, it isn't cheap.

Nice thanks for the references, guys. I emailed OEM Plus this morning about a part number and pricing for the BO plate delete, since I only see the regular on their site. I'll let you know what they say when I hear back.
