Ok, I have been using Air Enabler for past few months flawlessly in my B8 S4...upgraded the DAC and sounds pretty good as it's lossless streaming using a wifi hotspot created in my car....sounds much better than compressed Bluetooth.

I just bought a Kivic One which also sets up wifi spot in your car and I successfully hooked it up to stream lossless music from Spotify.

But Kivic One has airplay mirroring capabilities allowing you to show what's on your phone on nav screen(potentially).

I bought a cheap MMI to composite cable and connected my Kivic to MMI port in glovebox but that doesn't show my iPhone videos or apps running such as Waze on my NaV screen.
With some research, there appears to be several products like NAV-TV video bypass box(700.00 so no way I buy this one)that will integrate into back of MMI unit via harnesses. Another approach is xcarlink unit that acts as video input interface for 3G MMI but cost is 300.00 from UK...on eBay, some Chinese vendors offer similar product for 3G MMI for 280.00. This method is similar to when add aftermarket backup cameras to their cars.

Anyone have any. Other ideas on trying to add airplay mirroring to my car?.?

hello sir... i actually have a Kivic one working just fine in my 2014 Q5, i guess my 3g MMI is the plus version (one w/ Nav) i guess? ...

anyways i also bought a cheap ebay MMI to composite cable and it reads just fine.....

did u vagcom the car so u can view video in motion?

i had Nav-Tool for my old car Acura TL and it works like u said a bypass box.... but it does require to take the whole radio out. the Kivicone is a much better option because Audi's has the options using the composite cable's already....

did u turn on mirroring when u connected wifi on your iPhone i assume 5/5s... coz i can mirror my home screen to my nav screen..... (i use kivicone to stream my sling box)

shoot me a PM what issues u have, so i have a more clear idea what problems it might be

I was also looking at the Kivic one for my 2011 B8 S4. But I have a couple questions….

-I don't have NAV, Will it still work?
-Do I need a VAG to enable VIM?
-I know I need to get a composite RCA cable for MMI (is there a certain color grommet?) not sure if this applies.

Any other thoughts or ideas would be great. Also any info on the unit integration is welcome!

Thank You in advance for your input

Have just bought a Kivic One as well and connected it via the Composite Output to the AMI.

Unfortunately I have a bad Picture which only fills about 60 % of the upper part of the Screen. The lower part is filled with a Picture of a CD which is flashing continiously.
Have tried 4:3 and 16:9, but with both the Screen of the MMI is only used partially .... further on Sound and Video are totally out of sync

Have you made any Special Settings to get it working properly?
