difficult to describe, but both window trims look like someone used a bad chemical or abused them in some way as they both look terribly scuffed up and just worn looking---not at all bright and shiny --but dull and worn

Is there a product or technique (a polisher) to bring these back to "new"?

having read some old threads---I went out and picked up some Meguiars M105 compound and this seems to restore the trim. spent 20 minutes by hand on one side of the car and have brought back the trim to nearly perfect condition. With a machine--I'd think this would be a breeze

+1 to above. If it was anything like mine, the alum. trim around the windshield had a "Rainbow" like color to it. Meg's 105 by hand really didn't do it but the same w/ a Cyclo I bought (Yea I got the detailing bug) did the trick. Just take your time. I think almost any DA macine would do well but I went a little crazy w/the Cyclo. That said I have used it on the wife's MB 320 & now it looks a flawless as my car does. Amazing machine w/the right pads & polishes/compounds. I have a mix of products from both Detailers Domain & Adams & both are top notch companies to deal with & only carry/sell PREMIUM products. Spend some time looking @ their sites & be prepared to get the detailing bug. If I wasn't such a tech dope, I'd post some pic's B 4 & after but.... You'd never know it was the same trim. Good luck & let me know how it goes.
