We have a 2014 S8 at the office.
Third time it will be into the dealer to replace solenoids. 12k miles
#8 cylinder 2 times
According to dealer, now #3 is needs to replace 3 solenoids

Any ideas?

This was the e-mail we received:

THE VEHICLE NEEDS 3 MORE SOLENOIDS BUT FOR A DIFFERENT CYLINDER.
LAST TIME IN WAS CYLINDER 8 NOW WE HAVE CYLINDER 3. I ORDERED THE
PART THEY WILL BE HERE TOMORROW, SO JUST STAY IN THE LOANER
I WILL BE IN TOUCH TOMORROW.

Update - We have the car back:

Dealer paperwork:

12494 otis scan found eight faults lean condition misfires and cylinder # 3 actuator faults, perform test plan technical diagnosis wiring check for voltage curv for misfire pinout check for actuator cam adjust solenoids and perform smoke test for intake leak no issue found. Contact TAC and faults were submitted. Advisement to replace all four actuators for bank #3 Move coils and plugs from #6/7 to another cylinder add G17 to full tank of gas and perform extended test drive. Replaced all four actuators on three and move coils from #6/7 to cylinders #1/2 transfer those coils to bank two. Inspected cams for damage none noted Added four cans of G17 to full tank of gas and performed two extended test drives. Otis scan this am no faults in system and no lean condition mileage out 12494 mile in 12635
