Had my car color corrected and Opticoated. Took it to a repair shop and I think they put a cardboard box on my roof. It left 3 light scratches. They look more like soap residue than scratches. But they will not rub out with micro fiber and spray detailer.

Is this something I can try to resolve on my own without buying a power polisher? Or should I just take it to a detailer? Would love to learn about easy things to fix as it seems like I go to the detailer way too much.

A DA polisher like a Porter Cable 7424, Griot's, or Rupes will be perfectly safe if you want to get into using an electric polisher. Of those options, the most cost effective route will be either the Griot's or the Porter Cable. You're really not going to get scratches out of the paint by hand, you really need the extra speed that a DA polisher gives you. If you're not comfortable trying this on your own, it may be worth a trip to a professional for you. Do note, however, that polishing with some sort abrasive paste as will be necessary to remove the imperfections may have some impact on/remove the Opticoat that you've had installed.

I agree DA polisher would be the safest way to remove those scratches, just make sure to use the least abrasive method in choosing the polish to be used.
