A client got in my car as it was parked on the street next to a curb. Opened the door, sat in and his weight made the door press against curb. He close the door and I hear the scraping noise.

Even though you really can't see it, it bugs me as it feels rough under my door on that thin edge. Any recommendations on how to fix. ? Touch up paint? If so, just the oem stuff! Again You can't see it, but I know it's there.

First, paint has been broken, rust will start so fix it fast. Obviously, Id say give a body shop a shot at it first. If you do it yourself, take the heavy scratches down with a milbastard file, gently. Sand the bottom with a block 220 grit, 400, 600, slowly in one direction only. Then mask off well, hit it with an automotive primer. Sand 1500 wet. Reprime, then touch up paint.

A lot of work for a bottom of door scratch, but we all know its worth it. Chances are, after all that you will notice a little something when the door is closed, but others won't if you don't point it out.

Sucks. I feel for ya. I got a small door ding from some ass in the drivers side rear. dead center in the door. When you drive a 20 year old Honda, you don't really care much about somebody elses new pride and joy.
