Hello, I would like to share my build.. My car is 2000 , now my engine is totaly dismantled and am working on ..
Thanks to various users of the forum, I had many ideas looking at threads.
I'll post photos of the development of my car

Here the list of my project:

Engine:
-3.0L crank from 2003 multitronic B6
-coated bearings
-IE rods
-82mm JE pistons
-billet main caps/girdle/arp studs eurospec
-o'ringed block

Heads:
-2.8L large intake heads(ported)
-2.8L cams
-springs, retainers ans valves supertech
-tuned OEM intake for now

Turbo:
-precision 6466 with .81 vband house
-tial 44mm watercooled wastegate
-034 uppipe kit
-tial 50mm BOV
-full 3,5 exhaust
-BIG fmi

Transmission:
-Clutchmasters 850 twindisc
-rear wavetrac lsd
-jhm short shifter

Eletronics:
-standalone fueltech FT500
-VEMS wideband and EGT

Fuel:
-100% ethanol
-6x bosch 160lb injectors high impedance
-magnafuel pump/regulator/filters with catch tank

Brakes:

Yes.. look this.. I will use stainless steel wire with oem gaskets, we set up this way dozens of times, always successfully

Bottom of the block with billet caps.. milled with the caps, maked a perfect plane to sit the girdle. Forget the problems using the spacers with OEM caps.

As far as I know the overwhelming majority of their fuel is E100, there aren't alot of petrolium gasoline pumps in Brazil anymore, they're almost exclusively on domestically grown sugar ethanol.

As far as I know the overwhelming majority of their fuel is E100, there aren't alot of petrolium gasoline pumps in Brazil anymore, they're almost exclusively on domestically grown sugar ethanol.
Here the E100 is made from sugar cane, since 1985 this fuel is on pump .. Nowadays is used much more gasoline than ethanol, because the price of ethanol has risen sharply, however 90% of domestic Brazilian cars are 'flex fuel', can use gasoline or ethanol or mixed. Sorry my english is not the best.

This caps came direct from eurospec, and is made to use with girdle, because this is more flush with the block.

i always hear about "europec" parts, especially the griddle, is this a company or are people referring to actual euro-spec B5 s4 parts?

Alright I just hope my 034 caps aren't inferior.
Also here in the states we can only find E85 at the pump.
E98 and E100 has to be ordered through racing fuel vendors
and that's why I was asking.

It's a company eurospec they make audi/vw built racing engines and parts.

Did you get those caps milled while installed in the block? How much over they went over the block?

Where there any problems with the caps? Does those need any other modifications (other than line honing)?

I am asking a lot because I would like to buy those too to install with my girdle.

Looks nice, but I'm wondering how they attach the mains during the surfacing of the caps and bottom of the block? Without the full clamp load of the studs during surfacing I can't see it being even, but if it works it works. Do they do a hone on the main journals then after everything is installed? I'd guess they have to cut the caps by themself after taking some measurements with them torqued up.

I believe it takes more two months, because I have little time to work on car.

Yes, the caps is machined on the engine block. Install all 4 caps, put all studs, nuts and washers and tighten them down, after remove the hardware of one side, machine this side on a miller machine +- 0,1mm down from the pan rail. After this, place again the hardware of this side and tighten down, remove the hardware of the other side and repeat the machine work on the other side. This work result in perfectly flat surface for the installation of girdle.

I have no problem with my caps. Only line honing and mill it flat with the block.. ahh and remove the guides of the number 4(clutch side) because of the alignment of the axial bearing.

The oil pan also need to be drilled in some locations to make room for the nut/washers of the main studs, in the clutch side need some alum weld because the drille work(can see in the pic)

How much mm did you leave the clearance ? Are you leaving the bottom 3 bolts out in the trans? Was your final torque on the girdle 55n/m? Im sorry for all these questions, im just on the process of this girdle as well. Great built, nice info.

Final torque is 55ft/lbs. Also J2R for the 4th bearing cap what were your referring to by clearing the guides for the thrust washers.
I had a problem initially when I received my block back from the machine shop where the thrust washers would line up but after torquing
down my main caps my crank would not spin. I narrowed it down to the number 4 cap. It still spun freely after 1,2,and 3. Any insight?

Yes, simple remove the guides, and you can align the cap perfectly.

I would make the pipe beads with a machine, so that those wires which you have welded, in any case can't break and get sucked in to the motor.

I would make the pipe beads with a machine, so that those wires which you have welded, in any case can't break and get sucked in to the motor.
This tube is stainless steel and the weld is very strong

Yes.. 10 months, no problems with engine.. the only fail is the the gearbox main shaft.

The block is S4 OEM , stroker with forjed main caps and grille..

At least 2 times a week... 8 months with power, +- 8000 km . But i dont launch every time. I like high speed pulls.
