Where are you guys finding OEM 20's for sale? I have researched and can't seem to find any?

got any in mind bro? Check out SimplyTire or PremierTire. Both are good places for all the top brands (HRE, DPE, BC, BBS, Modulare)

My RS5 stock 19's are for sale if you're interested. They are great winter wheels and can double as a set of track wheels as well....they are forged. =)

I ran the stock 20"s with Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds this past winter - worked well. My intentions are to source new summer wheels (likely over the winter) and keep the rotor style 20s for strict winter use. I was a little worried how the rims and tires would do here but they performed very well - just have to watch out for major pot holes.

Aftermarket wheels with summer tires and plastidipped matte black OEM wheels with Blizzak winter tires.

Uhhhh.....it's June. Let's enjoy summer a little!

I ran Dunlop 3Ds on my stock rotors last winter and they were great. I had previously run Dunlops on my old G35 and they're a great performance tire. I've found blizzaks to be better in deep soft stuff and a bit quieter ride, but the Dunlops are fine with the Quattro, and perform far superior driving quick. I was weary of a 20imch low profile winter tire but I had no problems, and half our streets are like Baghdad. I picked up Vspokes and put my stock summers on those

who knows what 19" rims will work the best on the RS5 without running spacers?

most rims 19x8.5 rims these days are +35 offset which some say might need to run spacers.

Did find some 19x8.5 with ET15 which would be same fit as OEM...

Now that it's getting closer to winter...I think I am going to look into some of the 19" wheel and winter tire packages at TireRack. Looks like they have some decent options.

would staying with the 20s be good or would it be better going down a size, because i was thinking of making my stock rims my winter set and buy a set of avant garde rims for the summer, but i want the best thing for the winter so not sure if i should get 19 or just stay with the 20's

Putting 20" winters on would not be a problem, a few members here have done so already. I think the only option for winter tires in a 20" size are the Dunlop Winter Sport's and I hear they are great. That said, if you can preserve the OEM wheels and go 19" with a winter tire, I think would be ideal however, it sounds like you are upgrading? In that case, just get the 20" Dunlop Winter Sports and throw them on your stock wheels and enjoy! Here is a link to the tire I am referring to:

I looooooove my 20 inch Dunlops on OEMs. Just put them on and forgot how much more comfortable and quieter they are than the summer Pirellis. Obviously they don't corner exactly the same, but when it's cold I honestly think it's the best handling car on the road period. No issues with potholes/curb rash/tread life/wear pattern/abs/tpms. I also like the fact my RS5 looks like an RS5 all winter.

Plus, then you can go balls out on summer wheels.

Nice that you can get an 18" wheel on there. My ceramic brakes won't allow for that...no choice but to go 19's for me. I am still looking for a good set. Found this company (see link), that will drill out the hub to exact spec for your car, so it guarantees a proper fit. Wheels are decent looking too:

The Avantgard wheels are nice but I assume they are more expensive and not really meant for winter driving, more for summer?

Here is the wheel I have decided to go with. Haven't decided which colour to go with yet (silver or matte black), on my Ibis White RS5 - leaning towards the matte black. The plan is to use a 255-40-19 tire all around.

That might be tricky. I could see 1 fitting into the trunk and maybe another in the rear seat area, doubt you will get all 4 in the car at once.

My RS5 is scheduled to be delivered mid to late December (right in the Eastern Pennsylvania snow season). I plan on swapping to 20" Hartman rotor style wheels and Continental DWS tires (my winter set) before I drive off the lot.

I was able to get 4 19" wheels into my old A5 when I swapped out my winter tires. - they do not fit flat!

So I have narrowed my choices down to the following - thought's on which one to go with?

I know it's only a winter wheel but if I have the opportunity to choose, I would prefer to choose one that I will like for a while. I have a favourite but hoping to hear your thought's to help me decide:

I used to fit 4x 255/35-19 tires/rims in the back of my wife's S5 cab by folding down the rear seatbacks and pushing the tires through from the trunk. I would then stand the first 2 up in the rear seat area, leave the 3rd one laying flat midway through the opening into the rear seat compartment and have the last one laying flat in the trunk compartment. Since the RS5 tires are only 0.5 inches bigger in diameter, and the trunk compartment/rear seat area probably larger than the cab, I assume you should be able to do the same.

Not a bad price...too bad our dollar sucks right now!

I loaded the wrong specs. The Braelin wheels hubs come blank and are ordered to spec. Here is a more accurate reading of what I will be getting:

Size: 19x8.5
P.C.D.: 5x112mm
Offset: +25
Finish: Matte Black
Bore: 66.4 mm
Seat: 60 Seat
Winter Approved Finish: Yes

BTW, did you get your winter wheels and tires yet from Bryan?

Should have them installed by mid next week. A little rain/snow this morning in our area, it's coming soon!

Kanata Rims and Tires. I got a great deal from them....and trust me, I searched high and low for a decent looking winter wheel paired with a good tire. Went with the Hankook Winter i-Cept Evo in a 255-40-19.

Well mine is ONLY an S5...but dropping from the stock 19" to 17" as recommended by TireRack. Risk of pothole damage here in Michigan is simply too high to NOT go as small as possible on the rim. I like the darker color rim in the winter time.
