I recently had my 2013 S7 flashed. I also purchased the mobile dongle and plugged it into the OBD. I downloaded the iPhone APP but when I try to use the smartphone I get the message that the dongle is offline. If I try the EMCS I get a message EMCS is not enabled on this car. Can anyone help?

I'm not familiar with the APR dongle but many OBD devices need the ACC switch in the on position?

Did your APR dealer flash the ECU with APR mobile enabled? IIRC, the APR mobile doesn't work without the specific mobile feature enabled (i.e. If you had the ECU flash previously and then you needed the mobile feature enabled, the dealer would have to re-flash the ECU).

that happened to me when I first got it. I called the guy and I just had to close out the app completely and reopen it and it worked. Some combination of turning things off and then on. Haven't done it in a while. Digging the 100 tune

Make sure your phone has established a bluetooth connection with the dongle and that your car is at least in the ACC position or is fully running. If all the connections seem good and you are still getting the message, just call APR. When you switch between programs, it will take like 5-10 seconds for the switch to occur. FYI, the "dongle offline" is the same message I get if I try to open the app and I am either away from the car, or the car if completely shut off with no power to the dongle.
