First things first... Hello again! I started my Audi journey in 2002 w/ my silver a4 3.0 sport... I have a 2012 VW GLI w/ 35k miles that has been in the shop 16 times for over 2 months total time THAT CAR IS A NIGHTMARE!!!! So, I bought a 2012 S4 6MT Monsoon Grey w/ blk Nappa, B&O, Sports Diff, 3G MMI and only 9.8k miles! I'm sooooo excited BUT, I picked it up last night, drove to work this morning and when I left to grab lunch the driver side bottom speaker is blown (I assume). Makes a horrible noise, sounds like other blown speakers from my past. I guess what I want to ask is can I simply take off the speaker grill and throw some rubber cement on it till I get the car into the dealership next thursday (earliest time I could get it and get a loaner) just so I don't have to listen to that noise?[facepalm][headbang][facepalm][wrench][wrench]
Is it the the speaker on the passenger side at the bottom? Mine was blown fairly quickly on my car too. But not that fast lol. I think it may just be a loose cord because sometimes it sounds normal but sometimes it sounds awful.

I would think you wouldn't want to mess with it in hopes of them not using any tinkering as an excuse to deny warrantying that speaker, but i could be wrong.

Its the bottom one on the driver side... It is very odd. I'm an audiophile of sorts and I've rebuilt and repaired speakers before... The surround is fine, it seems like the voice coil/magnet is not moving the speaker correctly... I did remove the grill to check it out... I really hate waiting to use the stereo though! Hahaha

Has anyone else had speaker issues? and what was the resolution? I have searched and done a lot of reading but would appreciate someone with experience to chime in!

Just balance to the opposite side ;) That sucks though. I have gone months without a stereo and it blew (not literally lol).

I have and continue to crank he piss out of my B&O, have no blown a speaker yet. It could be something loose in there, but if it's blown, someone was really hard on the system.

My passenger door B&O speaker was intermittently bad and after three attempts I finally got Audi to replace it. Sometimes I would start the car and it would sound blown and other times it would work just fine. I couldn't get the problem to reproduce itself at the dealer so I had to use my cell phone to record the blown crackling sound. I have no idea what went wrong but I got a new speaker.
