Does anyone have a source to buy replacement bolts/screws/fasteners for our skid plates? When I got the car it was already missing a few and over time I have lost more. I would like to replace the ones I am missing but I never see anyone selling them and I cannot find a good source anywhere. I do not want to buy an entire skid plate as mine is just fine but I would like to make sure it stays on!

Or

Things like this I will usually check with dealer. There is not an Audi dear close (20 miles away) but there is a VW dealer (1 mile) near me so I call them to check on parts every once and a while. The guys at the parts counter love it that I get some Audi stuff from them. They can't order the Audi versions, but many of the VW stuff is the same. They are even able to cross-reference for me to make sure it's right. I ended up getting several fasteners from VW. I can't remember part numbers but the same fasteners were $4 cheaper at VW than Audi.

Sent from a Samsung Galaxy far far away....

I recently received this bit of information from PNW Avant on how many you should have of each. I'm passing it along to you as well.

"The 3 12mm should go in the front. These should have rubber washers that fit between the bumper surface and the fastener head. The belly pan should sandwich between the bumper and the chassis. you should have 5 of the 18 mm. Three of them go only the front edge of the belly pan, directly into the chassis. The two other 18mm go over on the sides near the wheel wells. The last 3 20mm go on the back edge. The washers for these should go on the belly pan side, after pushing the fastener through (the washer is meant to hold these fasteners in place, attached to the belly pan, at all times. Meaning, you loosen them, but they should stay with the pan due to the washer. Probably to help you not lose them."

Part numbers:
12mm - ?
18mm - 8D0 805 121
20mm 8D0 805 121B

Funny I had searched ECS but it came up with nothing. I did not know it was called a dowel pin though. I searched for bolts, screws, fasteners, etc. Anyway thanks even if you were semi sarcastic about it.

I got mad search skillz bro. But seriously though I just searched "belly pan" and those were part of the hits on both sites. Sometimes its just the wording you use. And I don't think any audi/vw parts site uses the term skid plate (besides Thor) lol It's hard to get that word out of your head when that is what everyone calls it.
