BMW 4-series Gran Coupe...come on Audi, were is our A5/S5 Sportback

C&D calls the 4-series Gran Coupe the most beautiful version of the 3/4 model line. I think the same thing about the S5 Sportback.

Dash looks like ass. Whomever I'd designing BMW dashes needs a reality check that a sporty car should focus ON THE DRIVER. Every time I'm in a BMW I feel like I'm at a bar and should be ordering a drink the dash is so planar.

The only thing that can beat an S5 Sportback is an RS5 Sportback if they ever build it. It is my favorite Audi ever.

The Gran Coupe is really good looking. If it had a 6MT I would consider it.

Maybe BMW will sell enough of them to make Audi bring the sportback?

Agreed. But every article I've seen on the GC says this, include the C&D article: "BMW won’t offer any 4-series Gran Coupes with a manual transmission, so all takers will get a ZF eight-speed torque-converter automatic."

Not true, the 2014 A4 2.0TFSI with Quattro and 6MT isn't available there, and it's the one I wanted. So I'm glad it is offered here. It's in my driveway right now. [:)]

They are making a M4 Gran coupe and if Audi doesn't bring a S5 Sportsback in B9, I am going back to BMW. I have been told that they are though, so hopefully there will be choices. (To North America I mean, they currently make the Sportsback in EU already, M4 GC is also coming in EU)

Too bad the RS5 Sportback has never happened. Otherwise I would take the SB over the Avant in a heartbeat. The S5 Sportback was one of the best cars I've ever had. It is more practical while looking sexier than the S4 sedan.

Heard that BMW won't be building a M4 GranCoupe due to structural integrity of the hatch back, but the M4 convertible should be worse in such respect. Maybe BMW is just worried about the GC will take sales away from the M3 Sedan.

I would bet we will see a Sportback before an Avant.

The Q5 likely outsells the A4...the Q7 has the most sales in the entire Audi of America portfolio...fail...biggest problem with America getting an Avant

most reports are saying no to the B9...we will definitely not see a B8.5 unless Audi does something like a RS5 Sportback, I faintly remember the RS6 was like that and the B8 RS4, was around Europe for a while and Audi brought it in for 1-2 years.
