Just wondering what the trick is to pop out the emblems from the center cap on a stock set of 2008 a4 rims. Looking to plasti dip the whole rim except for the emblem (anthracite) this weekend. Thanks in advance!

do you have the split 5 spoke wheels? some have different wheels. the split 5 spoke wheels at least... you open your trunk, lift up the carpet, get the tool kit on the left... take the little metal key... basically a metal that is bent into a ring to put your finger into, and then a bent end that going into the small hole in the enter cap. you put that in the center cap, and pull straight out. they will pop out that way.

Take the center cap off filp it over and you will see the rings have a couple of small tabs , just work them out slow or you will brake them

oh....

I used needle nose pliers and pick tools to remove the chrome bits when painting them. Slow and steady.

There's no need to remove the rings. Just paint over them and then when dry peel the plastidip off the rings. Comes off nice and clean.
