Doesn't smell like mold or whatnot, more like stale Armor All (which is not applied anywhere on the vehicle).

I'll take it in for dealer A/C check along with 5K mile service, but thought to ask the board for any ideas/input on the issue.

Cheers.

Could be your Cabin air filter needs to be replaced.

Mine does it sometimes as well. Barely changed the cabin filter as well. Seems to only do it when the car was sitting in the really really warm.

+1. My car does the same when its been in the sun. I just open the windows as soon as I take off for a minute or so.

^Thanks gents. Evidently, my AC had either not been used, or only used on mild settings for a short while.

Driving around at a high rate of speed with the A/C cranked through the dash/windshield/floor vents with fresh air (non-recirculated air) did the trick.

I will still change out the air filter.

It is also great to have the remote keyfob windows function via VCDS. It's a bit nicer way to enter a car that has been out in the sun.

*2 on the window deal. I've done that on both of my s4s
