This is probably not interesting for most...

I remember a couple people asking me to report back about connecting more than 1 device to the obd2 port, specifically a ross-tech cable and p3 gauge. I tried a 2 way y-splitter and they both *cannot* be on simultaneously. Specifically, only one of the devices functions, I believe the one that powers on first and handshakes with the obd comm device. So P3 gauge was working fine, but ross-tech did nothing...then powered off engine and ross-tech worked after p3 shut down.

So now I'm gonna look into making a switchable cable, preferably a small toggle that I'd place in the foot well..seems like this could simply be toggling the power switch to each. Really enjoyed how much nicer it was to not dick around with connector in the foot well and hard wire the P3...used an extension cable for the second port so I could connect ross-tech under the driver seat.

thanks for the update. I was looking for something similar for my V1/SAAVY setup and a P3 gauge and was afraid of the same happening.

That sucks, was thinking it wouldn't work. I had an ot2 wideband on my other car and was pissed I couldn't log and have the wb going at the same time, so sold the ot2 and went zeitronix.
I was debating on adding the boost tap to the p3 since I really only use it for boost, then just wire the obd connector to power. That would leave the car obd port open for the vagcom.
