I know this may come across as a dumb question, but realistically I am just looking for input on what to check.

Inexplicably in the last few weeks, I've noticed my FM radio reception has become piss-poor when it used to be perfect. I listen to the radio during my commute to work, take the same way, and now suddenly the reception has dropped off the face of the earth. Last time I was anywhere near anything that might even remotely affect it was 2 months ago when I pulled the radio to install the Aux-In, but it worked fine after that until a few weeks ago.

Im figuring on pulling the radio out again to check the antenna connection, but beyond that Im a little lost as to what would cause it to just suddenly lose reception.

Worst case I dont listen to the radio but for my commutes I'd prefer it.

Those antenna connections can become pretty loose, I would pull the radio and check that first.

Definitely check the connection first. However, If you didn't disconnect the battery, there's a chance that the antenna module received a spike. I'm not sure if the dealer can diagnose it other than replacing it. It's located in the luggage hold on the drivers side.

In the sedan, the antenna is located at the top of the rear window and have been known to crack.

Aftermarket head unit or stock? I know from experience that if you lose the 12v input to the antenna adapter (booster) on an aftermarket setup, your reception goes to shit.

I've got a Dynavin unit with just the Motorola-style adapter on the non-powered lead, and my reception hasn't changed. I have an Enfig adapter that I haven't installed yet, but once it's in I'll have some comparison data to share with the group.
