Buddy of mine just recently bought CPO B8 S4 with premium package[drool]. He gave his son his old B7 S4 for high school graduation[eek]. He's going to college the fall[hail]. But anyway. We used to go for spirited late nite [drive]. I would always be ale to take him from 0-100[race] with no problem. From 100- ? he would get me. Now since he has a B8 S4 whats my likely hood I still can do the same[confused] Just figure I ask people's opinion before I go out there and get myself my ass handed to me[facepalm][headbang]

You're gonna get your ass handed to you. Don't even think you'll get close to him. S-tronic are fast or even in manual form

Really depends on how the tune is for your ko4. I was able to keep up and pull on a c5 rs6.

WOW, a bus. I know that are fast tuned, but a bus against a BT A4, I figured a car or two.

I raced a B8 S4 from about 40 - 120 on a hwy and kept up with him just fine. He never got more than half a car ahead of me. If he's stock, I suspect you'll pull on him

Since Im tiptronic[eek]. I stick in S Mode and floor it on[drive] straight aways on the Mexico TPK. No skill in keeping it straight[facepalm]...lol

Compared the HP of both of them. He has 333hp and I estimate mine @ about 325hp. He been aching for me to step on the Mexico TPK with him.. Luckily its been raining up here[=(]....

If he doesn't get a tune I think he'll slowly walk on you. If he gets a tune and a pulley, I think you'll get destroyed!

When I had my b7 stage 1 with open non res exhaust and no other mods I kept about half a car length behind a b8 s4 on the highway doing a pick up from about 50km/h he thought I was an s4 and wanted to compare 4.2 to 3.0t he was surprised as hell when I told him I'm a stage 1 2.0t and we did a couple other pulls from 80 and he didn't get that much further than me. (Don't flame, I do know his driving skill may be lacking but still)

My friend just pulled a touch on his dad in a 4.2l s5 in his 2.0t stock well the red t one. But his dad has carbon build up like crazy

That doesn't make any sense 330+ HP vs 205 HP ....

Carbon build up isn't that bad

Believe it or not, some of the before and after dyno's of carbon cleanup, are shocking. It's a much bigger deal on the 8cyl.

My friend had just called me before I posted that. I've driven the s5 too myself and it was being robbed a lot of power I wasn't impressed at all

Yes father was playing around with son to do short pulls

this they did a carbon clean around 60k and the car felt completely different now it's a 170ish if I remember correctly

Hes right, carbon build up really affects the 4.2, when I pulled against my dad in second, you can hear it struggling I swear. Hes going to get a clean up soon since he wasnt that impressed ahahaha

Naa [facepalm]. But his son with the B7 S4 did a few pulls against the B8 S4[eek]. He told me that from 0-100 the B8 S4 had it by a car length [race]. That leaves me to believe that Its going to be hard pull on him[=(]
