After a few weeks of searching and about a year of wanting .. I finally found her. Not only my first Avant, but my first four door vehicle!

Anyways, here she is. Bad (me being excited) pictures, but I'll be sure to take more. Thanks to everyone who gave me feedback in my other post, really helped.

2008 A4 Avant, tip, S-line, Titanium package. Never tuned, so cannot wait.

I'm thinking sway bar, apr tune, and maybe intake first.. not sure quite yet, so I'm open to suggestions.

Apologies, haven't posted a pic in a long while!

That's a nice avant I love ti package! First thing I would do is check the can follower because the 2008 isn't covered under warranty

The only thing missing to that package to make me change pants is the third pedal, congrats on the new (to you) car!

Ps: B5 perches.

Nice looking car. According to the latest Quattro Quarterly, the Avant is supposed to be phases out over the next year or two. Makes me want to get on the wagon before they all disappear.

axis you have no idea. I've been driving a 6spd for the last 6 yrs in my g35. I keep putting my left foot down only to find the foot rest :(

also didn't know about the perches so now that's on the list!

^^You replace the ones you have now with the b5 perches it will lower the front about half an inch to even it out. Its popular on avant because of the gap on the front wheel.

What do you mean "supposed to be"? They've already phased it out as there is currently no A4 or A6 avant available. The A4 allroad is closest but there are no regular avants

Asshole! This better not be the one that was for sale at carmax in Ca a number of months back? I went to go put the transfer deposit on this car and it was "sold" before I could get to the dealership

So I hate you and we can never be interwebz friends.......the end

Get that thing polished up to get rid of all those swirls, clear bra put on to keep from getting any more chips on the paint, and enjoy :)

The article was calling the Allroad the last Avant model, which is may be going away too. That's what I was alluding too. Thanks for clarifying.

I second that! Just got my '08 back two hours ago. New engine & turbo and empty bank account. All because a $40 cam follower disintegrated.

That is one purty Avant. Get a better looking plate filler.

Ok, so far a week after owning her the car is great. Haven't run into any issues with the exception of the AC not being super cold today.. then again it's 100 here in SoCal.

I've been reading and searching a lot, and know the DV and cam follower are weak points in this car. So I wanted to get your guys thoughts on if i should replace them both for preventative measures? I'm at 86k miles. If I go ahead with the DV replacement I'm thinking of going with the Go Fast Bits one.

Thanks for your opinions.

Stock D.V. (Rev. D now?)--I think it was 034 has them cheep and on sale. As for CF--YES, check it sooner rather than later. Unfortunatley, you have no warranty coverage with an '08.

Thanks B7! I figured as much. I got a warranty through a different company, but don't think it's covered.

thanks brr! got super lucky and still had to drive 150 miles to get it. are you liking your apr tune? i keep reading about varying opinions on it. that it's conservative or slow.

I actually like the APR tune a lot. Smooth and dependable. I had GIAC in my B5 and it was rather jerky/monstrous...
I had my car shipped in from Utah.
