I am trying to install an auxiliary input on my B7, but my RNS-E will not take the code change. Another member and I spent an hour troubleshooting, but to no avail. I realize I am supposed to change the second to last number in the code to a 5, but the VCDS kept spitting back Error 31 (see attached screenshot). We were able to recode with the standard code (0031111), but the RNS-E would not take 0301657. Anyone else ever experience this issue? I am new to Audis, so perhaps there is something I am missing. See attached file for more information.

So you're changing the second to last number in the code to 5, right? What was the code you stared with and features do you have factory fitted?

The code I have right now (the code that was initially in there) is 0301617. I am trying to change it to 0301657. I have the RNS-E with navigation and Bluetooth. No satellite radio.

It looks like you need a software update. 0150 does not support AUX in. You need a newer disc.

A newer... nav disc?
