go to www.ross-tech.com they are the maker of VagCom and have done all the work. Get the legit cable and their site will help you pick the one for you.

IIRC, the wifi version limits you to the number of cars you can use it on. The usb does not. I've helped countless people on AZ with this, so I would go USB if I was doing this again.
