View Full Version : Carbon Fiber interior project
I'm working on an interior trim project that anyone with an A4 B7 may be interested in. I want to replace the aluminum trim with texalium (silver carbon fiber).
I'll post pictures and some directions as they come.
If anyone has any information on removing the interior trim from a B7, please post it.
I've started and it seems pretty straight-forward so far. The rear doors, shifter plate, and ashtray cover have been removed.
If you use your ashtray to hold change, you may want to see some of the pictures. I had to remove the assembly anyway because some change slipped back in there and the cover wouldn't open all the way.
My friend has CF trim in his S4 and it looks sick, I would consider it but I already have the Vavona wood trim.
Where exactly are you getting the silver cf from?

yes, we should have it ready during the current year
I picked the CF up from Soller Composites and the resin and other supplies from U.S. Composites.
SilverAudi- What is the website? eth.com isn't coming up. I want to know where to pick the trim up if everything gets hosed!

Sounds like it's going to be nice -- you should take pics along the way and post an "instructional manual" of what you're doing.
Please post pics when done -- really want to see that finished product as I am considering the CF trim on my own B7....

You know you can just pick up the factory carbon fiber trim from the dealer or any of the other places that sell factory parts. Granted its expensive, but it will definitely look the best.
I've seen some for the TT, but not for the A4. The only thing I've seen for the TT has been the dash kit.

Nope, definitely available for the A4. I've seen many pics as well as in person. Its absolutely beautiful. Its an option on the S4, so it will fit the a4. In fact a B7 S4 at my local dealer has it.
Do a search, there should be some pics. I don't know if there is a light silver. I've only seen it in regular.
I'll definitely pick a kit up if mine gets too screwed up. Thanks for the heads up.
