View Full Version : Which fuel line has pressure?

I have made myself a Fuel pressure gage to mount inside the engine bay but I need to know which line to tap. Kind of pointless to tap the return. I can not find a diagram outling this either.

With the 2 lines on the false firewall, it is the bottom one.

The fuel lines goes: pump>filter>end of rail without the FPR>fuel rail>FPR>bottom of FPR>return to tank

Your entire fuel feed line is pressurized by the pump moving at a constant speed (voltage dependent), and the FPR bleeds off the excess pressure via the bottom of the regulator, where your return line starts.

Not that I am doubting you but my damn book showes the top line as the entry line. However that is on a V6 model.

Ok. Follow the line goes to the end of the fuel rail that "does not" have the fpr (front of car). That is your feed line.

tap the line that goes to the front of the fuel rail. thats the feed

Yeah I believed you it just tripped me out since the manual was different. That is why I asked in the first place.
