Why do the Supercharged badges look so long to me?

That's because they are! About an inch longer than the OEM sc badges. These were from ebay for $18 quality was surprisingly good but they bend easily, I have the OEM ones on the way.

Edit: I got flame for "budget" mods. ROFL. Here are the sc OEM badges that I've been to lazy to install for weeks now.

Did you weigh your CV3's? I love the wheel style, but I found another type of 5 spoke that is extremely similar, but flow forged instead of cast and $700 cheaper.

Do share! These are not light wheels by any means, and I didn't weigh them. I went with fatter rubber so i'm guessing they are about 1-1.5 pounds heavier each corner with tires. I think the 19x10 cv3 weighs in at ~22lbs, not sure so don't quote me on that.

Blind spot monitoring is an option that gives the inside of the side mirror housings little lights that flash bright when someone is in your blind spot and you start to change lanes. The lights "glow" when a car is next to you.

How are you liking the ultinons???...I have done than retro on many previous cars before...6000K gives off the perfect color...I will probably be doing fogs soon myself but I will use LED bulbs rather an HID kit due to simplicity.

Cant believe you had to take off entire headlight assembly to make that switch...guess there is no room to work behind assembly.

Weird how these kits have the ballast and power supply connected to the actual bulb now...times have changed.

Car looking good....those wheels have some serious concavity to them.

I agree, I'm still deciding on which coilovers. I just don't want to deal with any rubbing at all with my 265s. We shall see.
Here is another angle where it looks a little lower.

Thanks, yeah the ultinions are the best hid bulbs i've ever used. I have cheap $40 xentec 6000k in my fogs and they look way too blue and take 10-12 seconds to warm up to their color. I will probably go with LED in fogs later but the light output blows with leds so beware.

You have to remove the headlights to change the bulbs on these cars, no room at all.

H&R OE springs, stock shocks. It finally settled into that height. Pretty happy with it, no fender gap at all with my 265s.

Any rubbing? I honestly didn't think you could fit 265's on a 10 inch wide wheel (especially at ET40) - all the reading I've done seemed to indicate that 19x10 with 255's at ET42-45 was as aggressive as it gets.

Nice job. Looks great.

Thanks! No rubbing at all, I was surprised. I was expecting it to be a PITA but everything sits perfect. I was not going to sacrifice 10" width or 265s. I originally wanted ET 36 wheels but thats a whole different story.

MB definitely knows how to dial in a stock exhaust, my Wife's 2012 C350 exhaust sound was one of the factors that pushed me to upgrade my exhaust, lol. Don't know how they made a v6 sound more like a small v8.

when you plasti-dipped your front grille

on the front audi badge when you peeled it off did you have to hold back the dip on the back black portion of the rings for it to stay on? or is the separation between the back black part and chrome badge enough that you could just peel it with your fingers and the dip cut itself at the crease?

The OEs are very similar to stock, the ride is a bit firmer but you won't notice it unless you're on really rough roads. The car does feel more planted at higher speeds, and theres less roll through hard corners. I love the springs so far, its also slightly more bounce over bumps though. So if I were to do it again, I would do Koni shocks with these springs. I skipped those because I'm getting coilovers at some point. Or maybe bags idk yet.

Overall though I would recommend these for sure.

Sorry, this is directed to raudiace4!! Thanks

The car looks awesome!! I'm thinking about the H&R OE Springs but I have had 7 back surgeries and the car is already pretty low, so I'm hoping the extra inch or so doesn't make it too much worse!! When you say "makes it bounce more over bumps" just wondering how much bouncier? I know it is subjective, but I'm hoping it's not TOO much!! Also, did you have to have a front end alignment after the springs were installed? I've heard some do and some don't!! Thanks so much!!

The OE springs are very very similar to stock in drive-ability and firmness, they make the car a bit more stable at speed and in the corners there's less body roll. They are a little bit bouncier on rough roads you might not even notice the difference, but nothing over the top that would make your back hurt lol. I was surprised at how comfortable the ride is, as I was expecting it to be harsh over bumps but it was very compliant. I think you'll be very happy with these springs.

Do you think 20x10 Cv3 with same springs will work with no rubbing? No stretch either.
I've got a black s4 as well and really close to pulling the trigger on some new wheels. Maybe Cv5's

20x10 should fit but you will have to run 255 or maybe even 245 width tires in order to avoid rubbing.

i just installed my awe exhaust this weekend, the install was easy-er then i thought 2.5 hrs, what takes the longest is getting all four tips just right.
what are your thoughts on the system? i was expecting it to be a lot louder after reading some reviews.
the sound is nice and deep just wish it was louder. might have to purchase the non-res dp's
no drone though which is great.
I've heard some people cut out the resonators from the dp's, wonder if that might be a cheaper way
to go

I'm having my local performance shop install the exhaust on Friday, so i'll post my feedback here. I don't want a really loud exhaust, you should have bought the track edition but that one I've heard has considerably more drone.
As long as its as loud as the Stasis was, I'll be happy. I already know it sounds better, I've heard it on many other S4s.

Did you get the non resonated? That's what I have (also on DSG and on my stock downpipes) and can honestly say any "drone" is unnoticeable by me or any passengers.

It's loud but not too loud. Sounds glorious at open throttle. It's really the best exhaust I've ever had on any car.

Thanks! The dip is holding up very good, its chipped a little on the right side in one spot but not bad for 10k miles. I don't think a BO grill is worth the money either, and I dont like the fitment on the RS4 grills out there.

I'll be redipping the grill soon, but so far very happy with it. Make sure you apply 3-4 coats and it'll be solid.

I got the Touring exhaust, no DPs. I didnt think the drone with stock DPs will bother me so it should be fine. Good to hear that you don't notice the drone. All the AWE exhausts i've heard so far sound perfect.

Not sure exactly what you're saying, but sounds like you want the OEM+ look.

For that i'd get a set on 20" peelers and spacers to make it flush. Then all you need is a moderate drop (like OE springs) and you're set.

I hate this build. I hate it so much. This is almost exactly the build I had planned for my S4, now I'm going to have to change something lol. OP! you're not allow to get an RS4 grill lol.

Very good looking car, exceptionally clean. Clearly you have an eye for tastefully building up a car ;)

Lol thanks bud!

I have all the most common mods for this platform, still some things left on the list. What are your plans for your car?

Keep an eye out for a build thread in the spring. Lots of little things, the S4 I'm starting with is pretty much fully spec'd out so there's not a lot it needs haha.

Will the H&R Street Coilovers still work with the Audi adaptive suspension ?

H&R street performance coils installed.

The difference over the OE springs is incredible. The car feels so solid, much better composure over bumps and potholes. Fast turn in is much more confidence inspiring and everything just feels tighter.
More impressions to come as I get a bit more miles on the car.

Coils are the bee's knees! So much more of a refined ride.

Looking good, do you have the suspension all the way up?

Did you look at the H&R RSS coils to have the dampening adjustability? I was considering them versus the Bilsteins due to cost. I'd like to know how these hold up through the winter. Im thinking of jumping from springs to coilovers spring/summer of 2015. Its been 2 yrs with springs so I figure its time for an upgrade.

I'll keep updating this thread with impressions and how they hold up. I didnt look at the RSS, the PSS10s were out of my budget as well [emoji53]
