Just picked up 07 a8l, it has tpms sensors but won't show any readings on it. Do I need to reprogram them? How can I check individual sensor and find out that they are ok?

Someone else may can give more definite information but the only way I have seen the sensors checked is a machine put against the tire. Usually any tire place has the machine and it reads the signal to figure out which ones are bad. So you don't have to go to the dealer as I had Firestone find out which one for me. But I did have to have the dealer install

Before you do anything go into the MMI under TPMS and tell it to change wheels. Drive for 20 miles without stopping and see if they show up. If not, one of the sensors is bad (dead battery). Shelf life on those batteries is about 7 years so if you want to do it right you might as well do all of them. If you have vagcom you can figure out which one is bad yourself but it's kinda tedious work.
