Next month my exhaust will be modified and i am acually thinking about changing the the exhaust tips, too.

I would like to get some input from the people who have already done this.

Here is the link to what caught my attention:

I vote No on that. I don't even really like the oval tips a la Milltek or AWE. An 'S' car needs those quad tips.

Quad tips only for S cars. Square tips, just no.

I totally agree with this. The oval tips look too everyday now. The quads tips are much more aggressive in my opinion.

Which P/N? can only find large dia inlet ones.

Apr has a sale on their tips but they are literally just the tips and not the stems.

Do what you want bro and stop listening to the haters. Its YOUR car, if you prefer the look then go for it. If you want something different DO IT.

Personally I'd like to have the large Dual-Single RS4 style oval exhaust from Akrapovič.

Black_V!per is right, you can't please everybody so go with what you like. And I don't really agree that it's "quads or nothing" for an Audi S. IMHO, BMW owns the quad tip theme since it was their M-cars that really put it on the map. Personally, I would advocate oval tips if you want to take a break from quads but again, it's your car so do what you think looks best.

And those Akrapovič tips...stunning.

I don't think people responding to the OP's request for "input" qualifies as "hating". He asked for input. I personally think quads look best. Ovals look awkward as they don't fit the shape of the valence. If you could find an oval/square tip that would fit the rear valence I think it could look good.

To be fair he also posted a picture of non-oval tips, which if done right could fill the valence better than quads.

And generally I would agree with you, someone asks an opinion and should expect some negative reviews. One thing I've noticed here on AZ is anytime someone has something out of the norm all the naysayers come out. We are not the borg.

I would agree with that. This community can be rough

i think b8's with the deval valence look great with oval tips. but stock valence only looks good with quad tip exhausts.

Not a fan of square tips on any car. To each his own though.

Their trapezodial tips might look good with the B8 valence

Maybe. Personally, I only like round. I rock the T601. Love them.

did it require welding or was it a bolt-on type of installation? Got a link to the parts?
