Happy Wednesday! A little Godzilla action this morning. This beast of a GT-R wanted to go on a diet, and boy did we delivery! This particular customer wanted our VS51, but in a MonoForged Competition specification to save as much weight as possible. We didn't offer a VS51 in our Competition spec, but anything is possible when you engineer, weight-optimize, and build wheels to-order [:D]

The end result - the first set of 20" MORR MonoForged VS51 Competition anywhere, and with BIG weight savings! We were able to save this vehicle about 60lbs of unsprung weight, which made a HUGE difference in the way the car felt.

The guys over at TAG have been working hard on a Matte Grey R8 Project car and they decided it was time for wheels! They needed something light, strong, aggressive and a little bit crazy to match the car's look, as it is Matte Grey and prepped for full track usage! They decided on a set of our MonoForged VS52 Competition in 19x8.5" and 19x11" which will weigh in under 20lbs! For the finish, we wanted something that was going to POP and be out there, so we went with our Hand-Brushed finish and threw a Red Tinted Clear over it.

Wheels are going on tomorrow, and we'll keep updating the thread with install pics, then the final photoshoot, but in the mean time, here's a teaser just out of the oven!

It’s amazing how the BMW M3 Coupe has been the industry’s benchmark, celebrated over generations and then vanished overnight. In name, at least. Enter the all-new F80 M3 Sedan and the first-ever BMW M4 Coupe, a reinvention of a legendary car. With the launch of the new F80 M3 Sedan, and now the all-new BMW M4 Coupe, a new chapter in wheel development begins. Based on our meticulous and vehicle-specific engineering process, we first begin by carefully measuring the vehicle braking system. With the new addition of an optional state-of-the-art M Carbon Ceramic Brakes package, it’s necessary to make sure the correct data for both the standard and CCB braking systems are collected in order to develop wheels that are geometrically compatible with both systems. After the brake profiles have been developed, we proceed with a detailed digital measure of both front and rear suspension systems, front fenders, and rear quarter panels to determine accurate clearances.
Our developing process allows us to quickly create wheel programs for newly-released platforms with specifications that can be individually adjusted to the customer’s personal preferences. Factors such as curb weight, weight distribution, acceleration and braking g-forces are also used to develop a wheel that is weight-optimized for the actual vehicle application that is designed for. This research allows our team to create a vehicle specific fitment that is matched with the lightweight architecture we are known for.

Below you will find our most recent development for the all-new BMW M4. This Alpine White BMW M4 sports our 20-inch MonoForged™ VS53 Concave wheels finished in Hand-Brushed Tinted Copper. The setup consists of a 20x9.5-inch Front, 20x11-inch Rear configuration wrapped in Hankook V12 Evo2 255/30/20 & 285/30/20 tires. To lower the car a set of the just-released H&R SuperSport systems was installed. Stay tuned for future development for both the F80 M3 Sedan & the all-new F82 M4 Coupe. The BMW M3 continues to show its dominance in the luxury performance market. Here, you are looking at the first confirmed US Delivery of a BMW F80 M3. The car is a Yas Marina Blue BMW M3 Sedan, matched with a black extended merino leather, and fully optioned out with Carbon Fiber interior trim, Executive package, Driver assistance package, Lighting Package, Harman Kardon surround sound and the new M-DCT transmission. And no, Carbon Ceramic brakes were not accidentally left out. The owner, Josh Shokri, founder of Speed District, a California-based Car Club that organizes monthly track days for European car enthusiasts, has become an idol in the car community for building some of the best looking track-oriented project cars and meticulously chooses which parts will enhance his vehicle’s performance.

This particular M3 project car has become a test bed for an array of different manufacturers, amongst them is Brembo. The car is equipped with the first ever Brembo Big Brake Kit on a 2015 BMW M3. The kit consists of 380mm front and rear slotted rotors with eye-catching 6-pot and 4-pot Brembo yellow calipers. To match the new BBK upgrade, Josh opted for a set of MORR MonoForged™ VS52 Competition wheels in a 20x9.5” and 20x11” fitment. Our Competition Series is our lightest series weighing in as little as 20lbs for this application. The car is also temporarily equipped with a set of H&R Super Sport springs until a proper set of track-oriented coilover system becomes available.
