Need an opinion.....Forgestar CF5V in gunmetal or silver for brilliant black S4

Like the title says I'm looking to purchase Forgestar CF5V's in 19x9.5 ET39. My car is brilliant black and I would really prefer gunmetal, but am unsure if the color would match the trim.

I vote silver. Gunmetal on black doesn't provide enough contrast for my tastes. Silver complements your silver window trim, mirrors, grille, etc.

I completely disagree with the above...I have gunmetal wheels on my black S4 and the contrast is beautiful IMO.

Those do look very nice, but I still have somewhat of the other opinion as well. The VMR V710's with gunmetal are the original wheel that made me want to go gunmetal. I am just afraid of how the CF5V's will be considering there are no reference photos with them on black.

Those are beautiful and a lot more money than I am willing to spend. Just further proves gunmetal is the correct choice for me though.

Just don't get black, certainly not my taste... I was in the same position going back and forth between silver and gunmetal. Ended up ordering the CF10 in Titanium but they are still about a week out from me getting them...and I probably won't get them on the car til the beginning of April.

The whole dark on dark is played out.
Silver pops on black... Gunmetal just looks dirty on a dark car.

Gunmetal looks great, had trouble choosing between that finish and the brushed tinted clear option (AG M590's coming in at the end of the month). Ultimately I chose a lighter color for the contrast but I think gunmetal will work great on the BB just as the pictures above show, I wouldn't black your trim out/rings though, that's a little extreme. Keep the silver.

Again, both colors will look great. Below are a few shots of a B8.5 S4 with the Forgestar CF10 in gunmetal to give you an idea on how a blue car will look with the gunmetal combo. I know your car is much darker and will comes out boarder line black in most photos.

Silver will give the car a more classy look though and it's also a winner! Will flow nicely esp if you're trying to match the silver trim and mirrors.

Silver I find too bright and black just look like steelies (plus I don't care for the murdered out look.)

They look like Ace Convex wheels and if so you can get then at a ton of places online, look around a bit and I'm sure you can find a good deal, their a good looking wheel

Thanks a lot guys. Alan and Elliot have been more than helpful in the decision and purchase of the wheels. Now I just need to play my part and wait for them and buy coilovers. I still like the silver a lot, but I think I'll ultimately like the aggressive look of the gunmetal more. Also, Aaron has the silver ones in his B8.5 and we are both from Chicago. Don't want him crying copier! Haha
