Yup. plenty of threads about it. That is a 1 quart measurement that you see on the screen, not the entire oil level in the car. I need to get mine topped off every 4-5k.

Put your mind at ease and get a dipstick. I don't trust the MMI on my S5. Just finished changing my oil a week ago and MMI showed it was low. Went through all the steps to reset it but still the same. I changed my oil level sensor a year ago too.

I had mine done (RS5) at exactly 1000 miles electively, and now I have ~4200 miles and I just checked it today, still maxed out.

I haven't had my first service yet (currently only at 2500mi) and the oil level hasn't dropped one bit. Is this normal?

Mine seemed to sit at max for ages, then at 7k I looked again and it was at the half way level, maybe that's a pint? I guess anything above the sensor just max's the reading until it gets within its range. Whatever, not like the quart each 5k miles I needed in my RS4!

Haha that's quite a drop. I hope the oil sensor in my car isn't broken *smack forehead*

I'm so paranoid about these kind of little things that I just might get a dipstick in there.

My oil level goes up and down from reading to reading....so, two weeks ago after the dealer topped it off, was reading about 80%, in couple of days went up to 100%.last week when I checked it was at half way, today I checked again and is at 75%. Go figure.
