Sorry for making an extra thread about this.

Will a 235/45/17 tire fit on a b5 without rubbing? Or will I need spacers?

Depends if you're lowered or not.

That also depends on wheel width and offset

offset is 45, width i assume is 7.5

You might need spacers depending on how low you are because the tire might be hitting the upright. I would have to double check.

Yeah 235/45 hits upright in the rear. I had to go to 225

You would probably need a 225 to fit properly. A 235/45/17 will hit the upright, as others have mentioned, and I'm thinking that you may get a bit of rubbing up front.

Would spacers in the front and rear resolve those issues?

Also, how thick should they be?

Figuring you get the offset right. They will still rub the fender. I had to roll my fenders and slightly pull the front to prevent rubbing with my coil over set up and 235

At 24.75 FTG I couldn't use a 235/45 et43 setup without rolling my fenders.

ill have to check what my gtf is later. Its not that I want to run 235. The wheels im buying already have them on

GTF is 25-25 1/2 inches

The wheels are et43 and I ordered St coils because my shocks are blown.

How much room do I need between the fenders and tires?
