I need to choose from Suzuka Grey or Phantom Black RS5 by tomorrow...

Hi ALL,

I got a great deal from Jack Daniels Audi in Paramus NJ on a 2014 RS5 with Black Optic, Navigation Pkg 78K MSRP. The only thing that has me back and forth is choosing a color. I cant make a decision. I am currently trading in my 2013 Audi TTS in Phantom Black. So I already know how the Phantom Black looks like on a TTS. I dont want to lure too much attention but make a classy statement.

Any suggestions as I need to make a decision within 12hrs.......

both are great colors..... I have phantom right now, but if it was me I would go with Suzuka. Phantom if you can wash it frequently!, but when you do it looks stunning.

I have the Phantom Black which is of course classic, however I really like the Gray, it is classic also.

As you can tell, by this Pre War Bentley, that won best of show, at last years Concourse de Elegance in Boca.

Why care all that much about "luring attention"? If you drive like a asshat, it's not the color that will get you in trouble. It's your hard earned money, get what you want. With that said, I'd go Suzuka over Phantom. If it were Panther Black, I'd go with Panther.

Hi All,

It turns out that the RS5 I just got brand new had defective front ROTORS and a creaking noise coming from the rear left suspension. Getting the parts replaced. BAD LUCK this time

Agreed. I never really liked Suzuka when I saw it in pictures but once I saw it IRL, I bought an RS5 in that color.

Agree w MOPS, Suzuka is way different IRL, just look at the group shot in the SoWo thread, the contrasts b/n Suzuka, Avis and Ibis really show well.

Mine sat at the dealer for 2 weeks before I went to look at it, I wanted a dark color again (black pref) and kept seeing the Suzuka as being white on the internet views, the first time I finally saw it in person I knew I was going to buy that car.... 1 yr later, still love it

lol.. nah.. Suzuka is not overrated as the color is gorgeous and rare. the most overrated one might be the Nardo Grey and Hyundai Veloster has the same color:

I've always loved the pictures of Suzuka's on the internet, even came close to buying a TTRS in Suzuka. Earlier this month I was over in California and popped in to Circle Audi to look at the cars, a guy was collecting his RS5 Cab in Suzuka and I'll be honest, it did nothing for the cars nice features, the flared arches and swage lines just didn't pop out as they do with colours like Daytona, Sepang and the red, they just seemed to blend into the body. It is a nice colour and looks great on the R8 and TT but in the flesh it just didn't do it for me.

Still love the pictures though.
