Whats up guys. I am going to run braided stainless cooling hoses on my 4.2L B5 race car, not sure what size would be best. I have seen tons of mixed opinions, some say -16an would be fine and some say -20an. -16 is equivalent to 1" ID and -20 is 1 1/4". There is a massive price jump when using -20an. The cars we build at my shop run -20an but they are 900hp+ big block V8s.

What do you think, would a 1" ID radiator hose flow enough coolant for the 4.2?
