So I'm in the process of leaning up my bay and came across this
http://www.europaparts.com/catalogsearch/advanced/result/?oe_part_number=8E0103927F
It's the driver side plastic for a b6. I like the stock factory matte plastic look and believe this would look so nice in my b5. My question is will it fit? I've never seen a b6 bay upclose but they very close to each other.

Most B6/B7 stuff is interchangeable. Even still...along with the cover, you would have to get the mount kit with all the little tabs, pins, rubber washers, or whatever is used to hold that thing in.

Although some B6 content can be used in a B5, most B5/B6 stuff isn't. Although I'm sure the crafty person can fab something up.

I don't think it'll fit right, maybe it'll physically fit but it likely won't like up properly. Luckily there's a cover that was available on the B5.5 Passat and possibly some AWM A4s that goes right where the B6 cover goes. I couldn't find a part number with a quick search, but here's what it looks like:

EDIT: Just noticed there's a larger airbox cover too, I've never seen that one before.

^Clean [up]

I say, go to a junkyard and pick up a crappy one and see what you can make. Shouldn't cost you more than $10 or $20. I'm not sure what you have in Ohio, but there is a HUGE Audi/VW/Porsche/BMW junkyard in Brooklyn, IN...called Brickyard Salvage or something like that.
