Hey guys i have a 2001 audi a4 1.8t running a uni 630cc file. Car is having issues it has been sitting for about 7 months. Bought a brand new battery and installed a fuel pressure gauge. I have a walbro 255 in tank. Fuel pressure is about 15-20 psi car wont start it sputters and dies. It will start every once in a while and when it does you have to stay on the starter to get the car to come up to about 800 rpms if you let off of the starter the car dies again. I have a CEL but i have to wait till tomorrow to get the codes. Fuel pump does kick on obviously but i dont know if it is getting enough fuel. Spark plugs and coils are all brand new. Engine Timing is spot on i already took the front off the car to check. Please guys i need some help here. I did get the car to start once today and took it for a drive. The throttle response was horrible you have to lay on the throttle to bring up the rpm's in order to keep it from stalling between shifts. Thanks again guys for the help.

Also i have the fuel pressure regulator situated on the feed line before the fuel rail.

Are you sure you have the fuel lines on properly?

Would i have been able to drive the car with the fuel lines on backwards? Because when i rebuilt the motor i had the fuel lines backwards and the car wouldnt start at all.

well gas would still get delivered, but the pressure wouldnt be regulated. It would only have fuel pump pressure, which is why I am guessing it reads only 15-20 psi

either that or your fuel pressure regulated is not adjusted properly

Ill try that tomorrow and keep you guys posted.

switched the fuel lines now the car wont even try to start im confused though i thought the fuel had to go through the fpr before hitting the injectors in that case i have it hooked up right im registering over 100 psi on my fuel pressure gauge before the fuel rail.

Okay i put the fuel gauge on the return line switched the lines back to the correct locations. Still having same issues as before except i know that im getting about 100psi of fuel pressure before the fuel line.

Car did start once took it around the block very sluggish down low above 3000-4000 rpm it acts fine. Now it wont start again. Pulling codes tonight

Cannot do a TBA with vagcom because code p1626 ecu is for a auto and my car is manual. What measuring blocks should i look at besides 060

codes are p1912 and p1626

Fuel air spark compression. We know you have air.. verify you have spark and check plugs for wetness (gas). If all fails yank the rail off and crank the motor while watchin injectors fire . Lastly test compression.

Hmm,
Take off the fuel pressure regulator "before" the rail and stick it back on the rail " drain". You aint driving anywhere cause there isnt any pressure at your injectors.

There is a fuel pressure gauge before the rail not a FPR. Codes are as follows
P0321
P0341
P0322
P1560
Timing is spot on manually rotated and checked timing. Car has spark pulled each coilpack and tested with spark plug on the head. Also had my brother push start the car to 20 ish miles a hour with his jetta and dropped the clutch. Car starts and runs and runs well some times also runs bad and stalls out every once in a while. Wiring to the Engine speed sensor was damaged and i had to rewire it this would not have caused this issue correct?

Narrowd down the codes to p0341 and p1579 anyone have any ideas car cranks has fuel compression spark etc wants to fire but wont.
