I've got a 1999 audi a4 1.8t yesterday morning my car started running awful and my check engine light came on. When I got home I pulled the codes I had
P0300- random/multiple cylinder misfire
P0301- cyl 1 misfire
P0302- cyl 2 misfire
P0304- cyl 4 misfire
P0422- main cat efficiency below threshold
Any ideas on what my issues might be and how to correct the issues please let me know

I'd start with the coil packs. ECS has a kit for 90 bucks I believe.

Move cylinder 3's coil pack around, see if the misfires move with it.

[confused] This has me perplexed. Cylinder 3 is the only cylinder not misfiring, so he wouldn't want to move that coil pacl. But, since it is the only cylinder not misfiring, critical thinking tells us he has no choice but to move #3. So, he would want to swap #1,2, or 4 into 3. If the misfire follows, then that coil back would be bad.

However, because he is having misfires on all cylinders besides #3, , id look into the ignition control module as a possibility.

Most likely the ICM. My car did the same thing. I thought it was the coils and it turned out to be the ICM
