When I got rear ended in my A4, insurance paid 30$ a day for a rental car. Do not take a bus, go rent a car and let that persons insurance pay for it. They have to, it is her fault you are out of a car.

Speaking of deep! I was deep in a tranny swap and bent that metal plate that goes between the engine and tranny, the one that is really thin, do you know the part number for that? tried to find it but it seems to not even have a part number

I was driving without it, then when I pulled my tranny last month, I put it back in but I think I bent it or something because I had a hard time putting hte bolts back in, I wanted to get a new one that was flat. It's not the spacer plate, you're thinking of the thick aluminum piece that goes all around the bellhousing. This is just a thin metal sheet that protects the bellhousing from bolts dropping in there since the 2.0t doesn't take up the entire mouth of the bellhousing.

Sounds like a bitch lol....basically when you pull the transmission there are two places. The spacer plate that is like 1/2 thick...goes all around the bellhousing. And then tehre is a thin plate that sits behind the flywheel thats the one i want
