Hey guys,
Not new to the Audi world, previously had an A4 1.8T with some simple mods chip/exhaust/a8 brakes etc. Sold that end of last year and was done with the audi world as i had my 06 BMW X5 4.8is.
Recently fathers car got totaled by someone so was a good oppurtunity for us to pick up another Audi keeping in mind future "modability", and good performance for a cheap price. Just to put it out there I diy everything, not new to audi, and work on other $ cars so the love these cars need isnt an issue, and forums are always nice to get info from as well as i post my own info when i do things.
So we picked up a 2004 A6 2.7T S-line this weekend, got a great deal. Car was in a little rougher shape but that was ok, especially with what it came with and the mods. Onto what it has:
-Fully loaded except no heated seats
-Samco boost hoses
-Maintenance records
-APR 93 octane chip
-APR Exhaust
-Timing belt done December 2013
-117k Miles
-H&R Drop with Koni shocks/struts
-Widebody door sills (i believe thats what they are called)
-Trunk lip spoiler
-Hotchkis Sway bars
It also had CEL, oxygen sensor already ordered, and EGT sensor (currently working to get the polish PCB board).
Other then that the cars interior needed a deep steam cleaning and leather cleanup which i already did the first night, looks 20x better. Needs a full exterior detail, and also needs the headlights polished up yet. Car had a straight black grill which i didnt like and owner gave original too which i installed.
As of now the car really impressed me, it pulls hard, and handles amazing. I will still be doing some things which should help it even more including fixing the CEL things, oil change, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, and center/front diff oils (rear was done 20k ago-trans fluid at 100k)
Like i mentioned before first nights progress was doing full interior detail, and also installed 20mm spacers i had left over from my old a4 - really finishes up the stance nice, need an alignment yet to add some rear camber, and check the front. Also rear right muffler/tip needs adjustment to be even.
It was also missing the bellypan plastic, but since its low the aluminum skid plate from evolution import was already ordered. Excited to see how the car will really run after all the basic maint and CEL fixing. As of now im very impressed regardless.
