Last week got a CEL om my stage 3 2001 Allroad. Scanned and reset the codes:
16538 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B2 S1: No Activity
P0154 - 35-00 - -
17539 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B2 S1: Internal Resistance too High
P1131 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Drove for another day, and same code come back. Bought 4 wire Bosch (not specific to audi application), and pulled the old sensor to replace with new one. The old sensor was completely covered with fluffy carbon deposits. I should have take a picture but instinctively wiped it with rug to get a better look. It wiped clean, no sticky deposits, no sighs of overheating. Kind of like snow, only black. Soldered wires and put new sensor. Looked at my ghetto intercooler hoses, everything still tightly in place, no leaks. For now everything looks normal, drove about 50 miles with the new sensor. Except maybe my diverter valves made few unusual noises when accelerating hard. They are relatively new, 710N..
It was very cold last couple of weeks in DC area, and I drove very little, maybe couple of 2-3 mile trips per day, not even every day. I have RAI downpipes and JFONZ stage 3 tune. Should I worry about the tune or downpipes, or getting aftermarket DV, or just try to drive more at the highway speeds once in a while to keep the sensors and downpipes clean?
