Need diverter valve help!!

Got my old dv out and was putting my new version oem one in when the thing fell apart. Tried to put it back together but the spring pops the middle piece out. How to I put this together?

It should snap back together. It won't take much force to pull apart again, which is OK because it is held together by compression once installed and will not come apart. I can try and get a pic of how it all goes together when I get home later

Thanks for the reply. I put it together how I think it goes and when I screwed it in a bit.. It stayed. The only thing I'm confused about is that black ring in the bottom of the pic, which way it goes in. I installed with the flat edge on bottom. Hope it's the correct way. If u can let me know just to ease my mind that would be great.
