K04 Questions.

Hey everyone, looking to upgrade my turbos since I am putting a new engine in the car (another 2.7). I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Will a k04-015 fit directly on my A6, or do I need new turbo inlets? I read that I might need the RS4 turbo inlets. I already have a Fidanza flywheel and an RS4 clutch on it now. What else do I need to run the K04's I know a tune is advised but what are the bare necessities?

You know your car has 2 turbos right? And no, a K04-015 won't fit. The only turbos that will bolt up with no modification (other than the RS4 inlets) are the K04-025/026 RS4 turbos.

Lol yes I know. So what differs between the k04-015 and the K04-025 that makes the 015 not compatible?

Umm... Everything. It's shaped completely different because it's mounted on a different motor. I'm pretty sure a ko4-015 is for a 1.8t

I think the k04 -15 is from the 2.0 ....anyways op you are going to need at the least 2 turbos, dvs, fpr, 3- tune ...

So I'd need the K04-025/26 and the inlets from an RS4. Correct?

Yup that'll do or you can get frankenturbos and their inlets but some have had trouble with them fitting or they also have 034 inlets which seem to fit better .....
