Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help me "plug in" the Audi trailer wiring loom into my car loom.
2003 Allroad 2.7T tiptronic - Japan spec so does not have the loom factory fitted.

** I bought a hitch and wiring loom used from another Allroad.

Hitch install went smoothly following the instructions from the ALLROADFAQ site:

http://allroadfaq.com/main/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=116:tow-hitch-install-instructions-usa&catid=36:body&Itemid=67

The hardest part was finally removing the bumper - the LOCK TABS are tight, and when you don't know they are there.... you just have to pull out and away from the car and they pop out - you do need a lot of force! I actually found this great pic afterwards; http://gallery.quattroworld.com/pictureposter/serf2k/allroad+hitch/

Now having a bit of a nightmare wiring the plug up.

Please have a look at the photos below and help me identify the unknown 3 wires and where to connect them.

Massive amount of help here in the install instructions....but from PAGE 13 it doesn't make sense as my LEVEL CONTROLLER seems to be different...

I would really appreciate your help!
Thanks in advance.

Not knowing what the connectors are in your wiring will certainly make this more difficult.

Depending on where you got the harness you may be trying to fix a problem that does not exist on a Japanese spec car. For example on the US spec harness you are trying to adapt to the issue that US trailers (unless you have some custom trailer) do not have backup lights or rear fog lights which European spec do and which the car has. If your car has those lights and you need them on your trailer you are "fixing" a problem that does not exist. Have you been able to track down the lighting wiring? What trailer lights are required in your country?

Aside from the lighting the factory connector also automatically disables the backup sensors when the trailer plug adapter is attached. Have you been able to identify those circuits in your vehicle wiring? Do you have the ability and desire to automatically disable the backup sensors?

Thanks for your input Scot - you are correct, I am not too concerned about the functions - backup sensors (car does not have) or the levelling function altered with trailer. I am just keen for the lights to work as I will never be towing heavy loads.
With the connectors looped through the tail lights I have functioning brake and tail lights - NO indicators - the rear doesn't flash at all and the fronts double time....I wonder if it needs the +12v input to power the trailer indicators as well??
