Good photo spots in Los Angeles/Westside ???

I want to get some good shots soon...
Just seeing what locations you guys like. I feel like I've used the same spots a few times..and when I drive around looking for good backdrops..I just drive and drive to no avail.Figured I'd see what spots AZer's like.

Venice Beach has some building with murals along the boardwalk on some of the side alleys if your looking for a colorful backdrop.

By Griffith Observatory, Mulholland Highway, Stunt Road, Tuna Canyon, anywhere on Sunset or Hollywood Boulevard, Beverly Hills Rodeo Dr, those super long narrow streets in Hancock Park with very tall palm trees

This^^^^ 4th Steet train yard in DTLA... runs alongside LA River just across from Union Station.. car,commercial,portfolio,model,porn shoots-a-plenty go on here! I work for Union Pacific and I drive trains thru here all the time..photographers wait for a train to pass and use as backdrop..

Drive around the west side of LAX along Aviation Blvd and Imperial Hwy. There's an old Rail Road track and if you follow it, it takes you to some industrial areas (goggle mapped the area).

Also the famous old bridge in Pasadena (Gas lamp bridge?) near old town/Rosebowl. There is a road where you will end up being underneath the arches of the old steel bridge.

I'm Down. I'll probably get my car back by the end of this week but have no diffuser because the body shop got the wrong one. No diffuser for 2 weeks lol. Oh, and um I need to test drive your car. :D

As far as picture spots - I've always wanted to do a dodger stadium shoot with DTLA in the background (think opening scene of fast and furious 1)

Thursdays are good here too. CC is good, Westwood too but preferably somewhere we won't need to pay to park :p
I love the dodger stadium idea. I've been there at night after a game but never during the day. We should get exact location and plot sun so we get the best shots with least glare. -I will work on this. Timing is everything for a god pic. What I don't have is a good camera.

I usually don't get off till 8 from lax. It's hard to think of a chill spot in west LA since It's the busy part of town. There's a boba spot (volcano tea) at sawtelle and olympic where after 10 pm the rich college kids bring out their expensive or souped up rides to show off. Parking is decent but only late at night. Too early and you'll run into the dinner crowd.

Costco is the biggest non crowded lot I know with food available after 800 pm. Or make it extreme west and meet at Santa Monica beach where parking is free after sunset.

Getting back to the original post that kicked off our westside meet. Will you guys be interested that our next meet will be a photo opp day? We can set a time and date for a meeting location, then drive/cruise to a location/s where we'll take photos opps. We can share ideas where to go for backdrops and lighting. Bring your photo skills to the test. SLR cameras and tripods will be highly recommended. Models, well it's up to you! Then we can post results back in this thread.
