Hey guys I have a Black A4. I am starting to buy some stuff to do a nice detail/paint correction on my car in the spring time. I bought a Harbor Freight DA Polisher, it is basically the Porta Cable machine. I purchased some pads from chemical guys. Going to buy Meg M105 and M205. I really was thinking about Sonax Perfect Finish but its like $75. Im sure the M205 will do just a good of job. Now I have always used Meg Ultimate wax, it was easy to use, went on easy and came off easy. Im reading alot about sealant. I live in NJ and half the time my car is in garage or my wifes car is in garage. Its parked outside when i am at work so it is always with the elements. This one car detailer in NJ seams to use the Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109. I have been reading that it really protects for 8-10 months and is great. Any suggestions on what to use to keep my car looking the way it does after I correct it. I am kinda on a budget. I just bought wheels and plan on doing some other stuff this spring

I'd recommend Sonax Polymer Net Shield, very easy to use, great durability, and not excessively expensive ($28/can, but a can goes a LONG way). As for how to keep the car looking good after correction, proper washing and drying technique will be the key...and there are plenty of threads around here about proper washing and drying technique.

Here's one such thread about proper washing and drying technique:

Yea I was reading on that, I just ordered the JetSeal 109 lets see how that goes. I def want to get a surface dryer or cheap electric leaf blower this year to get rid of most of the water you know. Any suggestions for that something in the $50-$70 range

Best bet for a leaf blower would be to pop into Home Depot or Lowes...they typically have an option for something in the ballpark of about $30.00.

It depends on what you prefer really... Sealers last very long and look great, but Wax looks better and gives you better water sheeting properties. That's my experience at least. Wax don't last that long though. Depends on the climate where you live, how often you wash your car and how strong soap you use. I wash my car very often, and I usually apply a new coat of wax every 3 months or so, just to have the best water sheeting properties.
That being said, you probably won't be disappointed with Jet Seal 109 ;)

If you're on a budget, try the optimum poli-seal. It's an all-in-one product that polishes and seals the paint. It can also remove light scratches.

You can always apply a sealant and then top with a good wax. Just be sure to put two coats of sealant on and only apply in straight lines not circles. Good luck!
