I just swapped my 2011 A4 Premium for a 2012 A5 Quattro Prestige with the Bang and Olufsen sound system. Does anyone else feel that the bass in this sound system is quite weak? Or could there be something wrong with the speakers? Any other B&O owners out there with a different experience? Thx!

I picked up a 2012 S5 before Christmas with the same package and noticed the same thing. The woofer functions - just underpowered

Thanks for confirming. I'm going to have to figure out what my options are to upgrade this. It's muddy sounding. Not worthy of this otherwise awesome car.

Do you have the convertible? I know the B&O system in that model does not have the same subwoofer that the S4 (and I'm assuming the same goes for the S5 coupe) where they mount the subwoofer on the rear deck, whch is not possible in the convertible.

Nope, A5 coupe. I"ll live with it for now. Thx!

Here's an option I found on AudiWorld with a good DIY write-up. I'll probably try this soon as I'm rather disappointed in the B&O Sub too.

before replacing factory sub, I would at least checked the resistance with the ohmmeter. Some of the factory are very low-impedance, like less than 2 ohm. Good like finding a suitable replacement. Maybe dual coil, and run them parallel.

Good point, I'll fire up that old multi-meter...
