2003 Audi TT 225 6sp Coupe, I've noticed a sound that sounds like a tire rubbing on something but only at slow speeds(not always consistent) and if I turn left or right. It definitely does NOT sound like pads/rotors... the front end of car is quiet and smooth, it's only coming from the rear. On a tight slow turn (left or right) you can hear it and almost feel a sort of lurching in the car. Any one else ever have this issue? What could it be? The car shows/has no other symptoms and runs very good. Cheers!

Do you have oversized tires on it? The tires that came on my TT when I bought it are wider than normal and they rub going around corners, at least in the front.
You could also try jacking up the rear and try to move the wheel in both up and down and right and left directions. If there is any play you may need wheel bearings.
Been to SO Cal lately? I drove down there this summer and ended up putting new bearings on my mk3 jetta because of the nice roads down there.

@ TheSupervisor, Cheers, I appreciate the reply and info. The tyres are 225/45 (R17 5 spoke stock) which I believe is the stock size..correct me if I'm wrong? And yes, if it was coming from the front I would think tyre rub. But the rear?
I'll have to raise up on stands next to check those bearings. I just did a road trip from the Pacific Northwest to LA, was wonderful aside from my TT seeing a shop in Bev Hills for 6 days because of a faulty wire on the cam sensor (didn't start one morning) and then a damaged fuel line. Loved the drive.
