Got Vag Com to work with Windows 8 no problem. But the cable will not auto install on my new laptop. Anyone have the drivers? A windows 7 driver may work too..

I run windows 8 and have no problem installing/using the ebay vag cable.

There is the USB to Virtual COM drivers. You can edit which COM port the USB cable is through device manager (windows+x, device manager). Edit the port, and reflect those changes in VCDS.

Extract that zip file to the desktop.
Plug in your cable, and plug it into your car, your laptop should make the "device found" sound.
Since it cannot locate the driver, you need to supply it.
Open device manager, look for a device that has a yellow exclamation next to it.
Right click, update driver software -> Browse my computer -> Desktop\Where you extracted the zip file -> tick mark "include subfolders".
It should then install the correct driver. When done right click the device in device manager, and change the port to COM3 (What I use).
Then open VCDS, go to settings, and change the port to COM 3 there as well

Done from memory, let me know if you have any problems.
