Hello All,
I posted some pics of my Estoril Blue RS7 and was asked to post some pics by Kiku and others of the comfort seats in the RS.
As it turns out, interiors are kind of hard to shoot. You really can't get an idea of the feel of the interior from these pics.
I thought I'd try shooting in a garage under florescents (you'll notice the junk in the background) with flash fill. The seats and interior look MUCH better in person. That said, these will give you some idea of comfort vs. honeycomb.
Trim package is racing aluminum.

Wow looks good! Nice and cushy!
Thanks! I was split between this and the sport seats simply due to the amount of seat time I spend on my RS.
I chose the sport and while its comfortable, the comfort seats look like a nice option.

Looks great, I did the same in an S7. It was a tough call as the sports are so nice looking, but the comfort and anti-swamp arse vented seats did it for me.
I currently have and A6 that has the same design of the comfort seat in the RS/S models but without the massage. I just placed an order for an S6 and I still have time to change but I figured I'd go with the sport seats as I really like the look. I will definitely miss the ventilated seats though, on summer days that was fantastic.
Do the comfort seats have the extendable thigh support? It looks like in your pic it is pushed out a bit. I know in the sport seats it's manually adjustable but I think if you can adjust it with the multi select knob that might push me over the dge.

Yes extendable thigh supports and much more. I have the comfort and I love them. Personally, I think I like the look of the comfort seats better too. Less busy, cleaner. And the cool/ warm air/massage. Very cool

I also got comfort seats in my RS7 the sport seats look amazing but there was an S7 at the stealership with the comfort seats and Ithey felt so nice! I think that the sports seats in my S4 are ok on comfort and due to the amount of time I spend in car it was a no brainer and the mrs also loved them ....I was hoping to keep her happy as well

I think the comfort seats thigh support extend out much further too. I like the look of the comfort seats but I do whatever changes they had the S6/S7/RS7 embossed option.

By all accounts (and from sitting in a standard A6 in the showroom), the R/S Comfort seats are a superior design, the massage feature notwithstanding. You can't go wrong with either option in the S though, as even the Sport seats are more comfortable than either option in the A model.

I saw S6 with comfort seats in-person a couple times. While they don't look bad (not at all), the less comfortable sport seats look better IMO and I'm still not sold.

THIS.
Anti-Swamp Arse FTW. Especially in South Texas.

Wow, no RS7 embossment on the seats. ?

As others have said, you can adjust the thigh length, width of the seat (lower and sides) and about 20 other adjustments, lol. Also as others have said, ventilation is a great feature.
The ventilation on these are a lot better than what came with the standard seats in the 2012 Prestige A7 seats. Comfort seats weren't an option that first year.
I also like the look on this particular config. This car doesn't have the optics package, matte finish or particularly sporty color (e.g. Nardo, Red, etc.). So, for me at least, this aesthetic works a bit better with the whole "stealth monster" thing.
In that vein, I had the pleasure of a someone riding my ass in a new Camero on a single lane road yesterday. The road widened to accommodate a right turn only lane which the guy pulled into at a red to go around me. I pulled back on the shifter to put it into Sport and quickly disabused him of that idea...

That's correct. Actually, there's a number of options/items that are marked "A7" or even "S7" that you can't get with "RS". For example, you can order a rubber mat for the trunk for the A7, all weather floor mats, etc. All come with A7 markings but you can't get them with RS. I assume the volume is so low and the car is so new that it's just not worth their time to run an RS version of these things. Perhaps in a year or two when more are out there.
BTW - The A7 trunk mat fits just fine...it just says A7...

So for someone like me who is notheavier set--- I like side bolsters that tighten up where the lats are... do the comfort seats have this or is it all thigh control and lumbar?

The comfort seats adjust the bolster both on the bottom and back back cushions. I'm skinny too and they can squeeze me beyond the point of comfort, so there's lots of adjustability.

+1 They definitely squeeze you. It's cool because they automatically adjust when you turn the car on if you have them set aggressive so I have has numerous passengers comment "did your car just hug me"? I tell them it is for their safety. :)
