Hello,

I am looking to purchase the Kenwood DDX470 or AVH-X4500BT car deck but would like to know a few things first.

I own a 2008 Audi A4 (currently with a Symphony II+). I want to be able to connect either the Kenwood or Pioneer unit yet maintain all factory functions and controls.

For example:

1) Will I be able to use my steering wheel controls for both music AND handsfree Bluetooth?
2) Will I be able to see and control contact list (phonebook) and music info for radio and CD/iPOD on my DIS?

If the above are possible, what other equipment will I require and please provide part numbers/prices and their function.

Enfig makes plug and play harnesses to keep steering controls

+1 for enfig. I bought their kit for my Pioneer appradio and it was the best plug and play and sounds more amazing then stock. I really dont even think the symphony II that comes with our cars is BOSE certified because the Bose speakers built into the car sound totally amazing after putting in my pioneer with enfig kit.

You should check out the audio board, moderated by Enfig.

1) yes
2) no, but the display on the indash shows it all clearly

However, 2 is a yes for certain kenwood (check out their largest indash)

+1 more for Enfig. They are cheap and the company is easy to deal with. I used them with my Kenwood DDX.
